Teaching Clock	For a fun introduction to telling the time. Can be removed.
Assembly Required	Yes. Full instructions supplied.
Material	Sustainable lime plywood (No MDF) Will not bend under weight of books.
Portable	Keeps books handy in the living room, or next to children’s beds to encourage bedtime reading.
Suitable Age	From age 3+ due to small parts on the play clock.
Eco-Friendly Finish	Finished in safe water lacquer which has low VOCs and is virtually odourless. It’s better for the planet, the producers and your family. Please note that the nature of water lacquer means that the letters' colours, may fade or darken over time, depending on exposure to sunlight.
Handmade Finish	Our designs are handmade and finished with water lacquer. We could have coated the wood with a thick, solvent based acrylic, but we made an ethical choice. Water lacquer is a safe,eco-friendly finish that shows the natural imperfections and grain patterns in the wood. It means your product will have a natural look in style and finish, with the charm of a handmade product.
Replacement Parts	Available to order from us when you need them.

The Story

Your first library should have your name on it! After all, it's the beginning of the whole world opening up to you. Where you will go and who you will meet in your first books? Everything I make is designed to be fun and enjoyable for children, to draw them in and foster their sense of independence. I noticed that in most living rooms there's a box with a few favourite books. Kids can’t see the covers, so usually drag them all out. I created the Personalised Tidy Books Box because I wanted something that would work for the whole family; books of any shape and size, magazines etc. Kids love these next to their bed as well. I make sure all my designs are stripped back to keep them looking stylish so they blend easily into a home. It’s about creating a timeless classic that can be passed down through the generations. My designs give kids the freedom to discover their world by themselves- because kids really do know best.

Delivery

Delivery via FedEx usually within 30 working days. Handmade in our workshop in London and ships from UK. Price includes delivery charge of $50. Once dispatched you will receive an email with your FedEx tracking number.

Order process good. The response to a request for a capital letter was prompt and courteous. A little pricy but I would recommend the product.

Wonderfully made portable book storage box.

My granddaughters loved the box especially that it had a clock face with moveable hands at one end.My daughter thought the handle was a wonderful idea so you can take it from room to room .The finished product is also superb.

Not satisfied. My order arrived 1 month lated, I had to pay *** euros of tax to receive the order, in addition to *** £ for the delivery, despite it wasn't notified at the confirmation of the order. I won't buy from your site any more and won't suggest anyone

Dear Cathryn , We are really sorry about what happened with your order and understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been. We have found your order and can see that it went to Austria. Please be aware that when your order was processed in January all orders going to Europe were then blocked by our courier DPD because of the new Brexit situation . We emailed all European website customers but because yours was placed on the UK site and not the Germany one it went through the net. At the time we sent your order we truly believed it would not have any customs charges as we were informed at the time that orders under a certain value would not have customs charges. But this was not the case. We now know differently but this was a completely new situation to us and we have had to adjust from when Brexit started with no knowledge of how exactly orders would be affected. We have reimbursed the custom charges to everyone who has been in contact with us even though this is beyond our control. We have now set up our couriers account to pay the customs charges in advance for a smooth delivery with no delays and no surprises . We are sorry again that Brexit has impacted your order while we were working out how to best proceed. Please do get in touch so we can remedy the situation. I had been looking for a bookshelf like this for a while as my 15 month old loves books. As soon as I filled his book shelf with books he was so excited and has found it easier to find his books and put them away. It is beautifully made and is so practical and I would highly recommend this product. I can’t wait to buy the taller book shelf when he is older.
