Eco-Friendly Finish	Finished in safe water lacquer which has low VOCs and is virtually odourless. It’s better for the planet, the producers and your family. Please note that the nature of water lacquer means that the letters' colours, may fade or darken over time, depending on exposure to sunlight.
Handmade Finish	Our designs are handmade and finished with water lacquer. We could have coated the wood with a thick, solvent based acrylic, but we made an ethical choice. Water lacquer is a safe,eco-friendly finish that shows the natural imperfections and grain patterns in the wood. It means your product will have a natural look in style and finish, with the charm of a handmade product.
Safety	Fixes securely to the wall. Can’t be knocked over.
Safety Tested	Manufactured to safety standard EN71, EN72, EN73, BSEN14749B

The Story

When you are in the top bunk, you’ve got your own space. And the shelf you store all your bits and bobs is properly yours, and should have your name on it! Everything I make is designed to be fun and enjoyable for children, to draw them in and foster their sense of independence. One day I saw Adele reading her book in the top bunk. When she’d finished, she just dropped it on the floor, luckily just missing her drink which had been balanced on the edge of the bed! I designed the Personalised Bunk Bed Buddy to keep her things secure. The first thing she said was: “It’s cozy.” I think children like to have their own space - somewhere special to keep their bits and bobs. I make sure all my designs are stripped back to keep them looking stylish so they blend easily into a home. It’s about creating a timeless classic that can be passed down through the generations. My designs give kids the freedom to discover their world by themselves- because kids really do know best.

Finish

Handmade and finished with safe, eco-friendly water lacquer.
We made an ethical choice not to use thick, solvent based acrylic.
Water lacquer shows wood’s natural imperfections and grain patterns.
Your product will have a natural, handmade vintagey look in style and finish.

Delivery

US delivery via UPS usually within 30 working days. Handmade in our workshop in London and ships from UK. Delivery charge $50. Once dispatched you will receive an email with your tracking number.
DO GET IN TOUCH as soon as possible if your personalized item is for a special occasion and you need it by a specific date.
Products marked as sold out will be delayed. Please see product for delivery times.
Canada delivery $75 USD. Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your customs office to determine what your additional costs will be prior to buying.

Not value for money

Very pretty but lower shelf doesn’t fit books and it’s very small. For the price I would expect more.

Dear Hannah, Thank you for your feedback. The Bunk Bed Buddy isn't designed as just a bookshelf, to accommodate books on the lower shelf . The books go on the top shelf. The bottom shelf is a space to keep bits and bobs close to hand like a drink, and alarm clock , pens etc... just like a side table would but elevated , ideal for Bunk Beds. Best wishes, Tidy Books .

Exactly what we wanted

We loved our shelves they are nicely done and easy to fit , not too big which is exactly what we were looking for , my kids love to have their favorite books and keep a drink for the night in them . We were very happy with our purchase!

Poor finish, not great

I’d been looking for a suitable bookshelf for my daughters new bunk bed but I’ve got to say I’m not too impressed with what arrived.
Nice design but massively let down by the finish. For the price I’d expect a much better paint finish and sadly doesn’t look premium.
Having said them at it does the job and my daughter likes it.
